Engagement process

From inquiry to appointment.

  1. Non-confidential summary and initial fit review.
  2. Authorized document exchange and protocol/site evaluation.
  3. Confirmation of availability, duties, coverage and terms.
  4. Required approvals, written acceptance and study-specific preparation.

Oversight, delegation & escalation

  1. Before study activities: document delegated duties, qualifications and training, record access, the responsible investigator and backup coverage.
  2. During the study: review eligibility, medical decisions, safety concerns, deviations and open issues with the site team according to the protocol.
  3. Escalation: agree contacts, response times and reporting routes for safety concerns and deviations to the PI, sponsor and IRB according to the protocol and applicable requirements.
  4. Absences and coverage changes: document the handoff of open issues and confirm acceptance by the investigator assuming the duties.

Investigator qualification & coverage

Dr. Falcon leads physician investigator services. Each proposed investigator is reviewed for credentials, relevant experience, location and availability. Primary and backup coverage are defined for the study before acceptance.

Protocol-specific acceptance

Appointments require a qualified site, adequate resources, applicable approvals and separate written acceptance. Readiness consulting is optional and does not influence appointment. The PI retains oversight of delegated activities.
